Who We Are

Echelon members participate in a variety of networking, volunteer, and fundraising activities. These activities directly support Salvation Army services within a chapter’s local community, and we have a close partnership with the Harlem Temple Corps Community Center. Whether we are serving, attending one of our social events, or raising money, you will find Echelon is a connected community full of people who are making a difference.

Leadership

Opportunities to take on leadership roles within Echelon, creating and driving strategy and earning valuable experience.

Networking

Meet other like-minded young professionals at social events throughout the year, as well as opportunities to meet and work with senior Advisory Board members.

Volunteerism

Exclusive opportunities to volunteer with fellow Echelon members on special projects assisting the most vulnerable New Yorkers.

Meet Our Executive Board!

Echelon Join Date: Winter 2021

Why did I join Echelon? I loved that the mission for the Salvation Army Echelon group was working to eliminate poverty through fundraising and volunteerism. Through Echelon, I have not only been able to help serve NYC communities but also make new friends in the process!

Rhea Galsim

Social Media Chair

Job: Associate GRC Manager at SMBC CUSO

Member Since: Fall 2023

Why did I join Echelon? I wanted to be a part of an organization with a rich history and a track record of impacting neighborhoods from NYC to the rest of the world. I was happy to know there was a 20-30s year old professional chapter of The Salvation Army that advocates and serves neighborhoods around NYC.

Natalie Trice

Events Chair

Job: Vice President at JP Morgan Private Bank

Member Since: Fall 2023

Why did I join Echelon? As a young professional moving to the city, it’s hard to feel connected with other New Yorkers on a community level, so I think that getting involved with Echelon is a great way to give back and meet other like-minded people.

Fritz Richter

Membership Chair

Job: Director at Avison Young

Echelon Join Date: Fall 2022

Why did I join Echelon? The Salvation Army, as one of the most recognized charities in the world, provided an avenue for me to give back through volunteerism in the city where I live and work.

Emmanuel Daudu

Service Chair

Job: Policy Specialist at Google

Member since: Fall 2023

Why did I join Echelon The Salvation Army's excellent reputation of providing free food and education in NYC and especially in Harlem to those who need it inspired me to join. The practical, hard work of meeting community needs is earnestly centered throughout The Salvation Army's operations.
