Josias A. Sterling Aquatic Education Program

Josias A. Sterling Aquatic Education Program is a program at The Salvation Army Kroc Center made possible by a generous contribution from the Josias A. Sterling Memorial Fund. This program graciously introduces at least 100 children yearly to swimming and water safety, who would otherwise not have access to these resources.

Josias Sterling, tragically lost his life when swept away by a riptide in July of 2009. Josias was a student athlete/rugby player for both St. Joseph's Prep and Temple University. Under this program, scholarships are available for those who would like to learn how to swim.
